IISLab Hosts Mississippi State University's Research Group for Autonomous Vehicle Research

February 20th, 2026

Our lab welcomed Dr. Daniel W. Carruth from Mississippi State University for a seminar focused on their shared research in autonomous mobility. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen the collaboration between the two groups and review recent technical advancements.

During the exchange, IISLab members presented their latest work on optimizing autonomous systems. Key topics included video compression using radiance fields to create efficient digital twins, the implementation of early exiting and split computing to improve processing speeds, and the development of specialized transformer-based architectures. The meeting successfully highlighted the synergy between IISLab and Dr. Carruth’s team, setting the stage for future joint innovations.
