The world’s leading forum in Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI 2025) brought together top researchers, innovators, and clinicians from across the globe.
We are proud to share that the joint team of TUKE and UPJŠ, including our IISLab members Matej Gazda and Prof. Peter Drotár, achieved an outstanding result: 3rd place in the prestigious FOMO Challenge on Foundational Brain MRI Models. This achievement highlights the strength of collaboration between medicine (UPJŠ) and artificial intelligence (TUKE) in Košice, and represents a remarkable success for Slovak science on the global stage.
The project, led by Jakub Gazda and Matej Gazda, will be further extended towards glioma research and presented at the International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI 2026), continuing to push the boundaries of AI in healthcare.
