Ing. Daniel Šolc is a Doctoral Candidate at the Department of Computers and Informatics at the Technical University of Košice, conducting research under Professor Ing. Juraj Gazda, PhD. His research focuses on scene understanding and corner-case detection for autonomous driving, with a particular emphasis on vision-language models. His work spans open-vocabulary and 3D object detection, semantic segmentation, and scene graph generation, and draws on simulation environments (CARLA), digital twins, V2X cooperative perception, and edge computing platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson.
