Eugen Šlapak and Matúš Dopiriak attended IEEE SmartComp 2024 conference in Osaka, Japan

Ing. Eugen Šlapak, PhD, and Ing. Matúš Dopiriak attended the prestigious International Conference on Smart Computing (IEEE SmartComp 2024) in Osaka, Japan, held from June 29 to July 2, 2024. At the conference, they presented their collaborative research titled "Distributed Radiance Fields for Edge Video Compression and Metaverse Integration in Autonomous Driving". This research was conducted with Prof. Juraj Gazda and also in collaboration with Prof. Mohammad Abdullah Al Faruque, and Prof. Marco Levorato from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). In addition to their presentation, the research was showcased during the conference's poster session. Furthermore, Ing. Matúš Dopiriak participated in the PhD forum, where he discussed his research with other PhD students and an expert committee.
